Penalty for the second-time offense of driving under the influence : As a result of exceeding the alcohol limit for the second time and driving on the road, a fine of 8,075 Turkish Lira is required by law, and the person’s vehicle is banned from traffic. Additionally, their driver's license is confiscated for two years.
Penalty for the third-time offense of driving under the influence : As a result of exceeding the permissible alcohol limit for the third time and driving on the road, the person faces strict penalties. This person will be fined 12,977 Turkish Lira for driving under the influence for the third time. Moreover, as a result of committing the same offense for the third time, their driver's license is confiscated for 5 years, and their vehicle is banned from traffic. Additionally, driving under the influence may also lead to imprisonment. According to the law, a light imprisonment sentence of more than 6 months is imposed on individuals who commit the same offense for the third time.
