Job description
* Write creative, fresh copy that connects with the target audience and drives the user or audience to take action.
* Develop related content for multiple channels/platforms, such as websites, email marketing, advertisements, product descriptions, and blogs.
* Assist in writing treatments, and develop short scripts for video content.
* Write short, concise, impactful and scannable content for the web and social media.
* Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results.
* Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print, and adapt content for various audiences and mediums.
* Ensure that content produced is free of errors and is of high quality.
* Revise copy based on internal and external client feedback.
* Interpret the creative brief received from client and Vice President of Creative, and implement the points into appealing and persuasive copy.
* Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines.
* Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content.
* Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Monitor and analyze the performance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to offer suggestions for improvement.
* Collaborate with accounts Team and marketing team from the development phase to the final delivery.
* Research and understand the client’s needs, target audience, and key performance indicators through in-person meetings
* Performs other tasks as assigned
Job requirements
* Exceptional writing and research skills
* A strong portfolio of sample writing for various mediums
* Bachelor Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
* 3+ years experience in a related role
* Ability to adhere to style guidelines
* Ability to articulate to stakeholders and team members how a particular piece fits with the guidelines
* Ability to work independently and in a team setting to meet deadlines
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledgeable with popular social media platforms
* Proficient with Google Doc, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
* Fluency in English
* Ability to work well with diverse work styles and personalities in a team-based approach
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced work setting with diplomacy and composure
* Ability to take instruction, guidance, constructive criticism well, and implement feedback into the next iteration of copy
* Flexibility in work schedule (i.e. evenings and weekends -- as needed, when necessary)
