How to prepare
A certain amount of dried and ground green leaves and their stems (they are in paper bags ready for consumption) are placed in a cup, then water is added before boiling (70 - 90) degrees Celsius, and sugar is added as desired.
A special straw is used to drink the extract soaked in water.
There are those who add lemon or orange peel to yerba mate, or lemon balm leaves, mint leaves, chamomile, ginger, and turmeric, or add milk instead of water or some other flavorings as desired.
