Founders and leaders of Sabancı Holding
Hacı Ömer Sabancı: He founded the group in the early 20th century. Born in 1906 in a small village called Akçakaya in Kayseri, Hacı Ömer Sabancı married Sadıka in 1928 and had six sons: İhsan, Sabri, Hacı, Şevket, Erol, and Özdemir. In 1943, Hacı Ömer became a partner in the company Yağsa, and in 1946, he acquired the company Marsa with his friends. Due to his creative vision and efforts, he established many subsequent companies such as Akbank, Bossa Flour and Cotton Ginning, Bossa Textile Factory, Oralista, and Ak Sigorta. In 1951, he purchased the Atlı Mansion and began moving with his family to Istanbul, where he managed the business until his death in 1966.
Sakıp Sabancı: After the death of Hacı Ömer Sabancı, his son Sakıp Sabancı took on a leading role within the group.
